Brian was just a boy that managed to be calm, be smart and creative to do what he had to do to be alive. This book portrays the wilderness as an adaptable plaza. Not as a horrible place in where people depart not survive and will probably die. It does not eit her portray wilderness as something delight! ful and relaxing so I believe the depiction of this book towards wilderness is neutral. In the book they even rise a bear that demonstrates sympathy because it does not hurt Brian.
